Visit to Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) Schools

We were invited to visit an NGO (Non-government organization) in Phnom Penh, where LDS Charities has partnered in bringing housing, water, landfill & fencing to a project at Steung Meanchey
(Trash Mountain)

Classes

CCF was founded ten years ago by Scott Neeson who visited Phnom Penh on his way to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.  He visited Steung Meanchey and couldn't walk away from the impoverished and neglected children.  Scott was president of 20th Century Fox having completed movies like 'Braveheart,' 'Titanic,' 'Star Wars,' and 'X-Men' leaving to establish a path to help the children

Five schools are in Steung Meanchey...we walked through the streets and visited each
 Kids playing in the sand...

 Children are taught English
Computer class...someone wasn't happy to have her photo taken

 First and second grades

 Lunch being prepared

Little girl holding my hand through glass-door reflection

I told this little boy about Sage...he wants to meet her

CCF provides dental care...she had to try out the chair

Site of a new seven story school that is being built by Scott and a guy who runs the Velcro corporation

Many still live in whatever they can compose as a home

 Always a little beauty around...
Homes a being developed...LDS Charities assists in water, ground prep and fencing-

This little girl on a street wouldn't show me what she was hiding under her blanket...you can see why

Children would rush to see us walking by

 Lunch being prepared and served

Milk time...

It's easy to see why Scott Neeson gave up all he had going to assist these wonderful Cambodian children...What a blessing to these children

We had a wonderful visit with Scott and found a common love of taking photos with our Canon 5D Mark lll cameras...especially of children
