Fly Tying Factory Visit

Two members from Logan expanded their fly fishing business to Thailand and Cambodia, creating quite a few jobs.  Rainy's is the second largest fly manufacturing company in the world.

Feathers from all over the world are used for their innovative fly designs

Each is hand tied using feathers and animal hair

Flies are used worldwide by sport fisherman for both fresh and salt water

Exotic fur and feathers

Innovative fly designs replicating insects small fish and animals give pattern to lure fish

Animal furs are pulled out one at a time from skins and wrapped onto fish hooks

About forty employees in Cambodia spend nine hours a day tieing flies which are distributed around the world...Cabela's uses Rainy's

Happy employees...

They contribute their success in providing cutting-edge fly designs from avid professional fishermen worldwide

Some pieces are tied and glued...wheels hold flies until dry

Church members make up most of the workforce in both country operations

These skins are imported from China

These feather pieces come from the same bird one piece from the mane and tail

I enjoyed asking if he used his own hair...didn't understand me
