New Construction of Cambodian Women's Hospital

The Tabitha NGO, non-profit foundation, headed by Janne Ritskes asked us to visit a new Women's hospital under construction.  This $7m project is being completely funded through her group.  It's about an hour out of Phnom Penh, in a new fast growing commercial area.  The plans are to provide services strictly to women.  Cambodian women have many health issues which go untreated, this foundations efforts are bringing much needed care to thousands of women many who are factory workers.  As we approach the hospital construction site, it was lunch time, and we watched as many as 30,000 women come out of their factories, and began walking down this one street to go to their nearby homes for lunch.  As many as ten girls will live in a 5'x7' room.

Dr. ING Kantha Phavi Minister of Women's Affairs

We had lunch with this influential Minister in the Cambodian government today.  The Minister and her husband are supporting this hospital initiative, and we had a pleasurable experience with them.

It was very interesting as we discussed their government goals, specifically as it applies to women's affairs, and how religious rights, & education play an important part.

  4. Nice blog........During this period, Humana developed the double corridor model for hospital construction. This design minimized the distance between patients and nurses by placing nursing support services in the interior of the building with patient rooms surrounding the perimeter.property for rent dubai
